TRAINING OF A DEAF DOG

TRAINING OF A DEAF DOG

The training of a deaf dog is as complicated as necessary if we do not want that it finishes hasty in the street. It is most important to teach to him to go to our call, but since we do with a dog that does not hear to us, nowadays vibratorios" exists in the market the calls "collares;. These necklaces work with a remote control, which when pressing it, does that the necklace placed in the neck of the dog vibrates.
It is necessary to teach to the dog that when the necklace vibrates must look for to us. For it we will do it of the following form: once placed the necklace, being the dog to our side (this can be done in the hall house) we pressed the control and next we offer a mouthful to him of a treat that it likes much (essential that the dog is much hungry at the time of training it). This exercise is necessary to repeat it at least ten times in a session, until we see that the dog when noticing the vibration in the necklace waits for the prize that we are going to give to him. The necklace we will leave to position day and night it, it must always take it, or at least during the day. The second step consists of doing the previous thing, but to one it distances a little greater, for example when the dog is in the hall and we in the door, where it can see us. If everything goes the animal well it will go to us in search of his compensates. Thus we will be increasing to the difficulty, pressing the control when the dog is not to our Vista, so that it must look for us by the house.
When the dog within the house always responds to the vibration looking for to us, we will come to teach it in the park, looking for a calm place and without many difficulties. Little by little we will be increasing to the distance and the difficulty. Also we will be diminishing the prizes in food, replacing them by caresses when the dog looks for to us.
If we do it well, we will see as the dog every time is more kind to us, looking for to us every so often with the Vista. Once we have gained its attention we can teach other orders to him like for example seating, using a gesture in substitution of the verbal order (which obvious does not hear).
We waited for haberos served as aid and we wished very many luck you with the education of your dog.
